Part-Time Credit Controller

About Us:
We are working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Alton, known for its innovative products and commitment to quality. We are looking for a skilled Credit Controller to join the team on a part-time basis (20 hours a week) to help maintain our financial health.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring customer accounts and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Conducting credit checks on new customers and setting up terms and conditions of credit.
- Liaising with customers via phone and email to resolve payment issues and negotiate repayment plans.
- Preparing and sending out invoices, statements, and reminders.
- Maintaining accurate records of all credit control activities.
- Collaborating with the sales and accounts teams to manage queries and disputes.
- Reporting regularly on the status of accounts and outstanding issues to management.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a credit control role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Stong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
